Done any more shootin' lately? How's the Back and Hip/SI Joint doin'?
Haven't shot since November.
I had the SI-Joint surgery on the 24th of April by Dr. Ploska. I couldn't be happier with it - at least so far. My "at rest" pain is almost zero in the hip and back (neck and shoulders are annoying now). I can stand for 6 or 8 minutes before the pain begins and another 6 or 8 before it gets bad.(before, it was bad in the first 6 or

. I was hoping up and about as soon as we got home, though I used my sister's walker. I only used it a little the next day and put it away the following day. I went back for my follow up after 10 days - every thing looked "remarkably well". I asked about starting PT, but they said that it needs about 6 weeks to heal before PT. So, I start PT on the 1st.
I'll let you know how it goes. Though, my hernia has gotten a lot bigger. It's a ventral (sp?) hernia that is now over 25cm in length (it goes from my sternum to below my navel). I forgot the max width, but it's in the 6 or 8cm range. I'm seeing the surgeon Thursday for an evaluation. I'd asked Millard Ross about it around 1990 and he said to leave it alone unless it started bothering me. That worked for 30 years . It has about doubled in size in the past couple of years and now my navel is tender...
So pretty much SOP with me.
